Community Values

We aim for a community that is Scripture-centered, respectful, truthful, humble, gracious, encouraging, and safe for sincere questions and growth. These values guide both community participation and moderation decisions.

What Is Welcome

• Bible reflections and Scripture sharing.
• Testimony-style encouragement and personal growth reflections.
• Respectful questions, disagreement, and faith-centered discussion.
• Prayerful encouragement and thoughtful conversation.
• Community support that respects boundaries and points people toward safe, real-world help when needed.

What Is Not Allowed

• Harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, or targeted attacks.
• Hate, dehumanizing speech, or abuse based on identity or personal characteristics.
• Sexual exploitation, predatory behavior, or inappropriate sexual content.
• Spam, scams, impersonation, deceptive fundraising, or repeated unwanted promotion.
• Doxxing or sharing private information without consent.
• Encouraging self-harm, suicide, violence, or interference with someone seeking safety.
• Graphic violence, illegal activity, malicious links, malware, hacking, or attempts to compromise the platform.
• Using Scripture, spiritual authority, or religious language to harass, shame, threaten, control, or manipulate another person.

Respectful Theological Discussion

Users may disagree about interpretation, tradition, or practice. Disagreement must remain respectful and focused on ideas rather than personal attacks.

Avoid presenting personal opinion as the only possible faithful reading, pressuring others to accept your authority, or using Scripture out of context to shame or intimidate. We encourage everyone to read passages in context and approach difficult discussions with humility.

Reporting Content and Conduct

Users can report posts, profiles, comments, messages, or other supported content. Reports are reviewed by authorized Risen Star moderation or administrative personnel. A report is a request for review, not an automatic finding that a rule was broken.

The reported user is not automatically told who submitted a report. Reports and moderation records are kept private and accessed only as reasonably needed for review, safety, security, or legal obligations. Misuse of reporting tools, including knowingly false or retaliatory reports, may itself lead to action.

Blocking Users

Blocking is a personal safety and boundary tool. Where supported, blocking limits messaging, following, visibility, and interactions between the accounts. Blocking does not replace reporting when content may violate this policy or when someone may be in danger.

Moderation Actions

We consider context, severity, safety risk, history, and available evidence. Depending on the situation, moderation may take one or more of the following actions:

• Dismiss a report when no violation is found.
• Hide or remove content.
• Warn a user or provide a policy reminder.
• Restrict features, interactions, or account visibility.
• Temporarily suspend an account.
• Permanently remove an account.
• Preserve or disclose limited information, or escalate a serious safety issue, when reasonably necessary and legally permitted.

Crisis, Self-Harm, and Immediate Danger

Risen Star may show safety messages when crisis or danger language is detected. Automated detection can be imperfect and does not replace human care or emergency response.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, may be harmed, or may hurt themselves, contact local emergency services, crisis support, or a trusted person immediately. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and call 911 for immediate danger.

Community members should encourage safety and real-world support. Do not shame, argue with, diagnose, or minimize someone expressing distress.

AI-Generated and AI-Assisted Content

AI is used here as a study aid to help point you back to Scripture. Scripture remains the authority. This is not a replacement for the Bible, prayer, pastoral care, wise counsel, or professional help.

AI-generated content must not be presented as Scripture. Review and edit AI-assisted material before publishing it. If you share an AI-assisted post, reflection, recommendation, or explanation, you remain responsible for the content and its effect on others.

If you believe a moderation action was incorrect, contact info@risenstarcollective.com with your username, the action you are asking us to review, and any relevant context. We may not be able to disclose private reports, safety information, or details about another user's account.
